The employee of CHRM representative office made reference to the activity of the National Mechanism for  Torture Prevention, concrete cases of torture and ill-treatment, reviewed national and international instruments for the prevention of torture, inhuman and degrading treatment.

On June 26 superior consultant Sergei Rudevici gave a lecture on the same topic for the employees of Comrat Police Commissariat. Also the CHRM employee paid a visit to the Isolator of preventive detention from the Comrat Police Inspectorate.

The Head of Representative Office Mrs. Svetlana Mironova on 26 June participated to a live broadcast of GRT Radio, within whose were discussed issues regarding the significance of International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, and the role of National institution of ombudsman, the NPM in prevention and combat of torture.

At the CHRM initiative, on regional television stations "1 Narodnîi TV" and public television "GRT" were broadcasted anti-torture spots.
