Within the campaign of tolerance promotion, held by the Centre of Human Rights of Moldova on 27 November in a Budeşti community high school, took place a meeting with the pupils of the eighth grade.
The topic of the discussions was "People with disabilities: between discrimination and tolerance."
The pupils discussed about the situation of persons with special needs, about society's attitude towards people with disabilities, the necessity to adjust the social environment to the needs of this people.
Students analyzed the situation of people with disabilities became aware of the multitude of problems faced by these people. Children concluded that tolerance is the respect, acceptance and appreciation of differences between people, kinds of expression and manners of express of our human beings quality
The pupils discussed about social causes of discrimination, have motivated the necessity of tolerance as an active attitude prompted by recognition of human rights.
The mentioned activity is designed to educate children in the spirit of respect for human rights and the rights of people with disabilities in particular.
