Parliamentary advocate Aurelia Grigoriu participated at the conference Complex pilot of Curative Pedagogy "Orpheus"- model of inclusive education for children with mental including severe disabilities in Republic of Moldova ".

At 24 May 2013, the Parliamentary advocate Aurelia Grigoriu participated at the conference Complex pilot of Curative Pedagogy "Orfeu"- model of inclusive education for children with mental including severe disabilities in Republic of Moldova ".

In this context the Parliamentary advocate Aurelia Grigoriu, mentioned that Moldova has ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, thus the state took a commitment  to promote, protect and ensure the full enjoyment of equal rights and fundamental freedoms for all members of society, including people with disabilities. Obviously, this involves strengthening the efforts of all members of society, real actions of the public authorities, because the provisions of this Convention should not remain only on paper stressed ombudsman.

Aurelia Grigoriu appreciated the activity of the Complex pilot ”Orfeu” as an example to follow for those involved in achieving these goals. Education is a key factor of social integration and independence for all individuals, including children with disabilities. Providing equal opportunities for all children to education, to participate in cultural activities, sports is important not only for children with disabilities, but also for other members of society that will perceive disability as an element of human diversity.

At the end of the event, the Parliamentary advocate awarded  the Complex pilot of Curative Pedagogy "Orfeu", Association for the promotion of inclusive education, with the special Ombudsman diploma for the support of noble cause of human rights protection and promotion in particular for support of people with disabilities rights.

The Parliamentary advocate noted that such conferences are welcome and appropriate, the Ombudsman considered that through the exchange of views, collective debates on different issues in close collaboration is possible to achieve goals into ensure the rights of people with special needs and their successfully inclusion in our society .
