During the campaign for torture prevention and support for victims of torture, launched by the Centre for Human Rights, the CHRM employee Iurie Boldesco had a meeting with Penitentiary Nr 11 employees that is located in  Bălţi.

Mr.Iurie Boldesco made reference to the activities of CHRM Bălţi Representative Office, carried out within the NPM, he spoke about the role of the ombudsman institution in Moldova in prevention and combat of torture. The CHRM employee has reviewed national and international mechanisms in the field for  torture and ill-treatment prevention. 

During the meeting were watched and discussed several video materials on torture and impunity. Were analyzed various aspects of ill-treatment and torture, were mentioned the importance of torture prevention and avoidance of some punishment application, with cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.
