Training for Republic of Moldova’s carabineers military troops.

 On 25 March 2015, the principal consultant at the Center for Human Rights of Moldova, Gheorghe Bosîi and consultant Iurie Dubenco carried out some lectures for carabineers troops officers of the Military Unit Nr. 1001. The topic of the seminar was "Human rights and fundamental freedoms protection and guarantee by carabineers troops".

 Gheorghe Bosîi made reference to the history, competences of the People’s Advocate Institution; constitutional and legal provisions on fundamental human rights and the role of state institutions, including carabineers in their protection; carabineers role in the maintenance of public order, empowerment and limits of physical force, special means and weapons use.

The CHRM’s employee spoke about risks occurring in the insurance and protection of citizens' rights by carabineers. Or, carabineers and police employees have the mission to be in the first line of human rights and fundamental freedoms defense.

Iurie Dubenco, spoke about the torture phenomenon and consequences of torture acts. Carabineers were informed that acts of torture are prohibited even in combat operations against terrorism or acts of extremism.

At the seminar participated 10 officers and 40 army and contract conscripts from the Military Unit Nr. 1001
