On 10 March 2015, the representatives of the Center for Human Rights of Moldova Carolina Cazaciuc, Igor Muntean and Iurie Dubenco in common with the head of CHRM’s in Comrat Representative Office Svetlana Mironova, in the context of local elections that will take place on 22 March held in Mihai Eminescu High School  from Comrat ATU Gagauzia region a training activity on the topic, “First Vote".

Purpose of this meeting with pupils who have reached the age required for voting, was explaining of this right and its importance for a democratic society. Pupils were informed about the right to vote and freely express of their will when they go to the ballot box.

The representatives of the Ombudsman institution spoke about the electoral system, about competence of electoral bodies and their activity, about the voting procedure, was drawed attention to the fairness realization of the right to vote on election day as well as the legal liability that are attracted to those people who violate the legislative provisions of the voting process conduct.

The national Ombudsman institution donated to the mentioned high school one set of materials published by CHRM.
