CHRM’s representative office Comrat in common with NGO„Institutul democraţiei” organizes actions of public information on the topic of electoral right in the context of the başcan elections in Găgăuzia which will take place on March 22, 2015.

The target groups are young people, especially those who participate for the first time in elections, representatives of roma ethnicity, young women.

The purpose of the seminars is to inform people about the electoral system, the competence of electoral bodies and their activity, about voting procedure, the possibility of solving problems that may arise in the electoral process. Also, to participants is explained the specific of başcan elections in ATUG, they being informed of the legal framework regarding elections at the national level and on the elections in ATUG. So, at the meeting with representatives of roma ethnicity were discussed requirements for candidates for başcan position and his attributions.

Workshops on this topic were held for XI-XII grade pupils in the High School in Avdarma village, in Ferapontievka village with representatives of roma ethnicity, with students of “Ceakir” Pedagogical College, barbers school„ Elita” from Comrat. Besides the information activity within the seminars, CHRM’s employees participates in the cycle of radio broadcasts „Abecedarul alegătorului” (The voter ABC).
