On 25 November 2015, Tamara Tentiuc, main consultat, and Liliana Ceriri, consultant in Child’s Rights Protection Service from the Ombudsperson's Office held a human rights promotion activity on “Violence: its Types and Methods of Combating” with pupils from senior grades of the Gura Bicului Secondary School, Anenii Noi district.

This activity aimed to inform pupils about the importance of prevention and combating of violence in the family, school and society, and the need to combat any type of violence.

The participants discussed about the types of violence, competent authorities and persons in charge of preventing and combating violence, provisions of the relevant national legislation.

The children were informed about the application of protection measures in case of domestic violence and about the consequences of each type of violence.

In addition, they were informed about the activity of the Ombudsperson's Office. The children received brochures about the prevention and combating of domestic violence.
