The director of the Center for Human Rights of Moldova Anatolie Munteanu and the director of the National Institute of JusticeAnastasia Pascari signed today a Memorandum of collaboration between both institutions
Mainly, the Memorandum states that CHRM and NIJ will collaborate in organizing and conducting educational process and continuous training of CHRM employees, but also judges, prosecutors and other persons who deals with justice in Republic of Moldova. CHRM and NIJ will organize joint activities of strengthening the institutional capacity for promoting of human rights and freedoms. The memorandum provides the establishment of collaboration in the context of the process of the justice sector reform of Republic of Moldova, organization of various actions into tackle current issues in justice field.
Signing of a memorandum of cooperation between CHRM and NIJ is a result of close relations of cooperation established at the time of the National Institute of Justice creation, mentioned its director Anastasia Pascari.
She stressed that the need to sign this memorandum became felt in the context of the justice sector reform that come from the Strategy of the justice reform, stating that NIJ will ensure the training of the CHRM staff. Anastasia Pascari also stated that in common agreement has been already developed a training plan for the employees of the parliamentary advocate institution and the mentioned training process will start soon.
The director of the CHRM Anatolie Munteanu noted the very close cooperation relations between both institutions. Ombudsman stressed that, for the efficient implementation of their duties for protection and promotion of human rights the Parliamentary Advocates needs a well prepared team. So a continuous training of the CHRM staff within the National Institute of Justice will enhance the institutional capacity and effectiveness of national institution for the protection of human rights.
