The Hînceşti case was solved by Deputy People’s Advocate Tudor Lazăr through a conciliation procedure.

In basis of a mandate signed by Deputy People’s Advocate Tudor Lazar, Svetlana Rusu, senior consultant of the National Ombudsman Office participated in the conciliation procedure between the administration of a nightclub from Hînceşti town and A.G. citizen, a person with disabilities. Previously A.G. was restricted in access to the nightclub because he is in a wheelchair.

The case came to the attention of the Deputy People’s Advocate who ordered its examination by the employees of Ombudsman Institution.

As a result of the of CHRM representatives intervention, who acted under article 23. (3) of the Ombudsman Law, on July 23, the parties involved in the incident have signed a conciliation agreement. The administrator of the night club brought relevant apologies from the organization to petitioner for the incident held on 12 July 2014.

However, the representative of the night club assured that in future the access for people with disabilities will not be limited in mentioned disco bar. Furthermore, were given assurances that for the facility of access of this category of people to the nightclub, will be adapted the entrance according to the needs of people with disabilities.
