On 17 October 2014, the employees of the Center for Human Rights of Moldova Carolina Cazaciuc and Veaceslav Usatîi took part at a human rights promoting activity in a high school from Sipoteni village, Ungheni district. The activity was held within the campaign "My first vote", project conducted by the API with CoE support, joined by People’s Advocate Office.
The purpose of the meeting with pupils, who have reached the age required to vote, was the explanation of this right and its importance for a democratic society. The pupils were informed about the right to choose and freely express their will when they go to the ballot box.
Ina Landa and Natalia Jungjietu, journalists from the newspaper ”Expresul” from Ungheni discuted with the pupils a social necessity of voting, the participation in elections, addressed the experience of other countries and previous election campaigns from our country, discussed arguments of civic positions in the society.

The representative of the national ombudsman institution, Carolina Cazaciuc, spoke about the electoral system, about the electoral campaign organization and work of election commissions, about the voting procedure, she pointed attention to the fairness realization of the right to vote on election day as well as the legal liability that are attracted to those people who violate the legislative provisions of the voting process conduct.
The national ombudsman institution donated to the mentioned Lyceum a set of materials published by CHRM.
