On 22 October 2014, the Ombudsman Tudor Lazăr and consultants Carolina Cazaciuc and Veaceslav Usatîi, in common with magazine ”Unghiul” editor Tatiana Cuibarul carried out a training activity for XII grade’s pupils of Mihai Eminescu high school from Ungheni within the campaign "My first vote", a project conducted by the API with CoE support.

The purpose of Ombudsman’s meeting with pupils, who have reached the age required to vote, was the explanation of this right and its importance for a democratic society. Tudor Lazăr spoke with the pupils about the right to choose and freely express their will when they go to the ballot box.

Carolina Cazaciuc, presented the brochure  ”Vreau să votez” (tr. I want to vote), she spoke about the electoral system, about the electoral campaign organization and work of election commissions, about the voting procedure, she pointed attention to the fairness realization of the right to vote on election day as well as the legal liability that are attracted to those people who violate the legislative provisions of the voting process conduct.

Within this activity the representatives of “Unghiul” magazine involved pupils in a imitation-exercise of the voting process, explaining to them all stages of the voting process.
