In the Consideration of the Moldovan State report to the Committee on the Rights of the Child regarding the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Office of the People's Advocate of Moldova, in its quality of National Human Rights Institution has presented its opinion, under the form of an alternative report that highlights the main problems and achievements in the field of children's rights in our country. The problems identified and recommendations are related to juvenile justice, the right to education, protection of children without parental care and those at risk.
The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is the body of 18 Independent experts that monitors implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by its States parties. All States parties are obliged to submit regular reports to the Committee on how the rights are being implemented. The Committee examines each report and addresses its concerns and recommendations to the State party in the form of “concluding observations”.
